Christmas Update!!
Ok.. so I'm gettin a lot of flack for not updating. Well, here it is. The Christmas update of bradmyers.com. Guess I haven't had much to talk about lately. Although I thought I'd throw in a couple of links. The crazy geniuses at Google have come up with something cool for the frugle...or froogle shopper. Check out froogle.google.com to find the cheapest price on stuff your buying.
In the Christmas spirit of umm...Christmas, heres a pretty good cartoon that describes how we Hoosier folk celebrate.
Did you finish all of your Christmas shopping?? I DID! I think it's the first time I've actually been done with shopping by the 24th. Usually I wait until the 24th, but since I'm working on Christmas eve this year, I thought I'd be smart and go out early. Just today I recieved something in the mail I was pretty excited about. I'm now an offical Guinness beer drinker. Before I was just in training I suppose, but I recieved my official kit to the 1759 society . For $17.59, you get a cool nice golf shirt, a keychain, and a certificate verifying your a drunk. SWEET!
Well, I'll keep this update short, just enough to wet your appetite. I should have a lot of new stuff to talk about after the holidays. Until then, Peace out, and have a Merry Christmas!

So I haven't updated in a while... I've been too busy lately to even begin to write out what I've been doing. I mean, with such quality entertainment on the net as opera baby, who has time to chit chat. This week has been especially busy for me. On Monday, I got my XBOX Live beta kit, and managed to kill a whole night messing with that. It's pretty cool, although the NFL Fever they sent me is either a bad cd, or just completely unplayable. If your lookin for me,My "Gamertag" is Magnus2k. Tuesday was a night with the Giants. John Flansburgh even managed to give me a personal thankyou for coming to the show.. How cool is that. Its not everyday that your favorite band sings a personal thankyou to coming to their concert! And remember, give Dial-A-Song a try! Wednesday was the 2nd trip to Chicago in as many weeks. It was all work and no play, so that kinda sucks. Tonight, we're heading to see a production of Fosse, which I really have NO idea what it is about, but if the mood hits me tomorrow, I'll let ya know what I thought.
I'm looking forward to this weekend! Colleen Dillon, my sister-in-law, will be making the trek down from Wisconsin, where the beer flows like water! I'm not exactly sure whats on the ol' agenda just yet, maybe a trip to a haunted mansion, or maybe just get some drink on with Bruce down at the piano bar. There's also a foam party, but I'm thinkin that probably won't happen.
On a geekier note, AMD is giving away a bunch more motherboards and processors. Make sure you check it out. Last year, I got my Athlon XP 1800+ and motherboard for free. Maybe I can score a new system and then I can really have a dedicated machine for finally Learning Linux.
Until next week... Same bat time...same bat channel....

I don't really like talking about my flair...
So work is here... Its not going so great. So I think I'm not gonna go anymore. Am I gonna quit? Nuh ah...not really. I'm just gonna stop going.
So I've been watching a lot of Office Space (aka The Brad Myers story) lately. It makes me want to hug my Red Swingline Stapler. So as it stands, I'm sure I'm on the way to some big changes in my life in the coming months. Not exactly sure what they are..but fairly sure they will happen.
So in other news, this weekend is homecoming here at Purdue. So I'm sure it will turn out to be a crazy good time in some way. As long as I don't end up in jail, it will be a success. Probably have some pictures posted on Monday.
Space out.. Yeah.. I just stare at my desk .. I'm not actually doing anything, but it looks like I'm working.

Everything Old is New Again...
Man, am I old. If years can be long and fast at the same time, well then they are. How's that for some infinite wisdom? My 10 year reunion was this past weekened, and while it seems like I just graduated from High School yesterday, I suppose a lot has happened in the meantime. Its funny how you go to a reunion not knowing what to expect from everyone there, but somehow after a few hours, you realize that in a way, everyone is still pretty much the same way they were way back when. Now they just have kids and are married. :) For the most part, I think the ol' classmates haven't changed much at all in appearence. There were some exceptions of course. I was thinking about taking an anonymous poll by email to find out who everyone thought was most changed. I was wondering about this after the reunion, and then Rachel asked me who I thought had changed the most, not in appearence, but in personality. That was a much tougher question. I guess its hard to make that kind of a call after only hanging out for a little while. You can check out all of the pictures I took at the reunion or all of the pictures I've taken in the past couple of years.
I think everyone had a pretty good time at the reunion. There were a lot of people that I got to catch up with, and a lot that I would have liked to talked to, but didn't get a chance. At first it seemed as if the whole class was there, but then the room began to shrink as the night went on. The final word I got from Carl was 172 alumni were there, so I guess that was a bit under half. There were definately a few people I was looking forward to seeing that just weren't there. The biggest complaint I heard was the Open bar was only open if you had cash. Maybe if it were in Wisconsin, then things would be different.
Got something you wanna say? Email me.. and I promise I'll start doing better at returning them. I'd also be interested in getting some copies of pictures from the reunion if you'd like to have them posted on the web. And remember to check back here if you want to see what I'm up to.

Housekeeping.. You like bed turn down?
So its been an even longer time since I've updated. What can I say.. I've been a busy man. The summertime comes and I'm off like a wedding dress heading to places like Cleveland to take in an Indians game and the annual Cedar Point trip. Then its Off to Wisconsin, where the beer flows like water. People are always talkin bout bein New Style.. well I'm still kickin it Old Style.. and lovin it.. Those girls know how to party! :) Hanging out with the In-laws is always a great time. I still haven't been to Louisiana lately, but I do dig their new Quarter. And I almost forgot the Buffett trip that kicked on the whole summer's festivities! So while it may seem like I'm having a kickass time traveling the midwest, just remember, I'm still a big geek at heart.

Ok...
So it's been a while since I've updated. I guess I could lie and say I've been to busy, but the true fact-of-the-matter is that I've just not had a whole lot to say. Oh sure, I could have probably posted something about the hysterical video clips of Triumph the insult comic dog at the Episode II premier, or better yet, just mentioned the whole collection of Triumph stuff at IFilm.com. And remember to check out Goodies section at Game-Revolution.com for other rollicking good time stuff.
Guess I could also talk about just how cool the XBOX is and how its great to see some really cool hacks coming out for it, like a MAME emulator to play all of the arcade games on your XBOX. Won't be long until the online stuff is up and kicking some butt.
Looking forward to the next couple of weeks. We'll be making our 1st of 2 planned Cedar Point trips this weekend, as well as heading to the Cleave Land to take in a baseball game with my very good buddy Jason Robbins (who is also a moderator on this page, and owner of "The Iceman Cometh" Check it Out!.. Then its off to the Great White North of Wisconnsin for the 4th of July festivities.
Oh.. and I attended Buffett in Cincinnati a couple of weeks back... look for those pics to be posted shortly.

Plugs, Plugs, and more Plugs
I'm getting a lot of plugs on my good buddy mike shea's website. I strongly suggest everyone run over and take a look at his blog page.
Cars
I've been talking a lot lately about the Mini-Cooper thats being released in the United States by BMW. Here's an article on msn.com that has some cool pictures and pricing info. In related news, I'm forking over another $825 to get my car fixed tomorrow. Anyone wanna buy a 93 Saab 9000 that has had pretty much everything on it replaced?
Pics
I should have some more pictures from vegas scanned in and posted sometime next week.

So now that we've all been back from Vegas for a few days and had some time to get that "cling cling cling" sound from the slots out of our head, I finally managed to post some of the pictures from our trip. The hard link is http://www.bradmyers.com/pics/lasvegas2002. I think most of us had a Knockout time. I'm hoping to get a lot more pictures scanned in and posted later today. I'd love to have copies of any and all pictures those of you that went could share or let me borrow. Although the first couple of days I may have been a little stressed, once everyone was settled in, things went pretty well I think. My buddy Mike Shea of Liquid Theater summed it up with a little geek math in that "the number of people attending is inversly proportional to the mobility of the group".
We did manage to meet some famous people. A few of us met Dale Davis, former Indiana Pacer, and the twin kids, Dylan and Cole, from "Big Daddy" and "Friends". Here's Proof!.
I think I'll go for a walk outside now..

As some of you may have noticed, theres now some new syndicated content on this page. My buddy Mike Shea has hooked me up with some Slashdot and Liquid Theater updated content. My page is dynamic!
Make sure you check out my nephew's new page, EvRock.com too! It's brand new, so it may take a few days for some content to come online.

The Internal Revenue Service has just announced a new form for next year. I think this is the short version of the one I did this year.
Hot TUB.. uh... Full of water!
2nd Annual James Brown Celebrity Hot Tub Party pics are now posted. A great time was had by all.. I think. And I managed to not yak my guts out this year, so that was a good thing! Thanks to Bob and Erika for hosting a swinging good time baby, yeah! Next year, we'll triple the keg count and make clothing completely optional. You can also get to the pics with the pictures link on the right.

Vegas Wars II: Attack of the Geeks
As a lot of you may have realized, Star Wars Episonde II: Attack of the clones will be released on May 16. Which happens to be the same week that we'll be in Vegas. As it turns out there will on ly be 19 theaters in the country that will be showing the Digital version of the movie. Here's a list of the locations. and one of them is in Vegas. As a matter of fact, its right by the hotels we'll all be staying at. So I'm hoping we can all find a time that we could make it to see the movie. Email me and let me know if you're all interested!
K.I.T.T. Vs. K.A.R.R
In todays fast paced world, I find myself yearning for the days of yesteryear. In doing so, I often daydream of cruising around in a nice 1981 Trans Am that I can communicate with via wristwatch. Well, the wristwatch is still a far off fantasy, but luckily with sites like these, that talking car with fancy a bouncing red light is almost a reality.

Now thats a game system!
Still in the geek mode.. Check out this system built by Yoshi DeHerrera of TechTV. It's an Atari 2600, Nintendo 8-bit, Nintendo GameCube, MS XBOX, PS2, and an AMD 2100+ machine all in one! Now that's UberGeeky!
